In the article “Pet Peeves: the dog that crashed the party”, Sandy Robins writes on about a gentleman that brought his boisterous golden retriever to a New York City art gallery exhibition.  While the gallery owner was introducing the artist, the canine party crasher climbed on the buffet table and gobbled up the seafood canapés and sandwiches, leaving behind only the vegetables crudities for the rest of the guests.  One can only assume that the dog was not a Vegetarian!

Do you have a funny party story

about your pet?

Not the daily event of Fido eating the cat’s food or chewing your favorite pair of Jimmy Choo’s that were left under the bed but the more exciting tale (or tails if talking about your dog, cat or horse) – the story that people at the party will remember forever

For example, at a very posh dinner party at my house in London I remember asking my guests if they would like a second helping of turkey.  As I walked into the kitchen to bring the platter back to the dining room I saw my dog take off at an incredible speed with the turkey.  Instead of going quietly into a corner he circled my guests with his prize in his mouth and would not stop until he had taken a few dog size bites.  He was cornered before any bones went down his throat and the party turned into a trip to the Veterinarian.  Obviously there were no second helpings that evening!
